We are almost at the halfway mark of 2018. Where did those last six months go?
The wonderful thing about documenting your days through photography, is that it helps you to slow down, even for just the time it takes to press the shutter, and record what is happening at that moment.
When you pick up your camera every day, you might think what you're capturing isn't that important. It's just daily life! But trust me, one day you'll be glad that you did.
Today I was going to write a completely different blog post, and while searching for some particular images for the post, I came across some photos I had taken a few years ago.
The images weren't the kind of pictures you would hang on a wall, or even share outside of the family, but to me they brought back some wonderful memories of my kids and home life. They were something to treasure.
I'm so grateful I picked up my camera and recorded those moments.
While I was looking around on my hard drive, I also came across a presentation for a webinar I gave awhile ago: "Elegant Simplicity: The Art of Beautiful Everyday Photography."
Although it covers still life photography, there may be some ideas to help you with your own photography. I share some tips and techniques as well as behind the scenes photos.
Here are some example pages from the presentation:
